In a lifetime of memorable events one of the most unforgettable is an individual’s wedding day. One of the keys of planning for the special day is covering all the bases. One of these essential bases is transportation. Deciding how the bride and groom will travel throughout the day, and in many cases arranging additional transportation for the guests: family, friends and colleagues.
The scale of weddings range from simple small family events to huge three day extravaganzas. First and foremost it is important to establish transportation arrangements for the bride and groom. In some cases the bride and groom will travel together in one limousine throughout the day. Another common choice is they will each have their own limousine with their own bridal party’s to match and after the ceremony share a limousine.
For the traditional limousine service the most popular option we find is white superstretch limousine service. This is the classic limousine style which remains an all-time favourite when transporting the bride & groom. It is ideal for smaller sized groups, generally these limousines seat up to eight passengers for best comfort. Lincoln superstretch limousine is by far the most prevalent in the Lower Mainland. However some companies provide Cadillac stretch and superstretch service.
White suv limousine service is an increasingly popular option for larger sized groups. Depending on the limousine service these limousines seat over ten passengers, up to twelve is far more common and up to sixteen passengers is rare. These remain a popular option for brides with long dresses as they are easy to get into. A variety of suv limousine models exist including the excursion, navigator and expedition.
Executive bus (twenty+) & passenger vans (passenger capacity varies) are often used to accommodate larger sized groups. These are a viable option for moving large sized party’s from one venue to the next (EG the church to the reception). These vehicles are not technically limousines; however some companies invest in them heavily making them just as luxurious.
Not to be forgotten is the specialty vehicle market. These include companies that provide service in specialty type sedan vehicles such as a Rolls Royce convertibles. Seating in these vehicles is no more than four to six passengers. What these vehicles provide is a “uniqueness” factor. Being that they are not common vehicles, classics from another time, they are great for photo taking and may give your guests something to oohh and ahhh about.
Having chosen the type of limousine you would like to use for the day the next step is to establish the times you will require the limousine for. Some individuals will use a limousine service for the whole day, or several days. Others only require service at select times. Once you have decided on the extent of service required, you can do some research and find out pricing and availability. Limousine companies have wedding packages available for their clients. One thing to note is most companies will have minimum hours (generally four or more consecutive hours), while others will have full day reservation policies. It is important to do your research early, we recommend months ahead of time, to find out what works best. Deciding on whether you want to arrange additional transportation for your guests or have them handle their own transportation arrangements is completely up to you. Look for a limousine company that can meet your transportation needs and provide you with the exceptional service you deserve. Congratulations to all the future brides & grooms of 2012.
